We have had amazing luck with finding great dresses this year. I find the ones that aren’t too fussy get worn on repeat. This one is a current fave because of how cozy it is!
This darling dress by Jean Bourget from The Little House is super soft and plush on the top and a cotton/poly blend on the bottom. This dress is also machine washable, which is always a plus.
This will be a great dress for Thanksgiving, holiday activities and her program at school . We paired it with coordinating tights that have tiny bows on the back and some inexpensive glitter mary janes that I can’t seem to get her to part with 🙂

In our household we love dresses for two reasons…1, there are no arguments when a dress is involved and 2. It’s “one” item of clothing, which means less wash for me and less coordinating of pieces.
The Little House has the best selection of dresses both casual and dressy. We recently discovered a line they carry called Lali which is from a designer based in St.Louis. She uses gorgeous fabrics from her native India, and they all have beautiful colors and patters with great details. You can read more of the designers history and inspiration HERE.
We paired this great dress back to the new “Alice in Wonderland” edition Mini Melissa shoes, also from The Little House
I love this take on a denim dress by Deux Par Deux; it has just the right amount of structure to make it cute and feminine. Again, it looks great with those red Mary Janes by Mini Melissa.… Continue Reading
If you could bottle up “happiness” and turn it into a brand, you would get Hazel & Ollie. This is the newest and completely adorable endeavor by Emily Walters; who is also the talent behind the popular Bloom Academy.

Hazel & Ollie is custom made goods for children (and adults!) ranging from clothing, to accessories and home decor. I love Emily’s use of color, all of the little details she adds to each piece, and the fact that they are all handmade is a huge plus. Her pieces make great gifts, because they are one of a kind!
My little ones and I recently did a photo shoot for Hazel & Ollie and we had a BLAST.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale goes public tomorrow! I can’t believe how quickly sizes have sold out on things. This is your last chance to scoop up some of your favorites before they are gone! The Patagonia’s are a great deal, and this is a great time to pick up your kids shoes for fall.
I scouted the kids departments and here are some of my faves…
4th of July is one of the best and easiest holidays to dress for! This year we will be staying in Kansas City doing a bike parade in the morning and a Country Club in the evening. I found two looks for the kids at The Little House in Fairway which will be perfect for both occasions.
Romper: Appaman, Shoes: Saltwater Sandals , America Tee: Chaser, Navy/White dot Shorts: Egg
The bandana is an easy accessory to add red or blue to an outfit! Just twist and tie!
If you have a dressier occasion; loving this Octopus/Anchor print dress by Roberta Roller Rabbit for V. J is wearing a super lightweight, almost sport fabric polo by Busy Bees with plaid shorts by The Laurence.
