Generally in Kansas City we have a pretty amazing fall. We usually get a mild October, and sometimes even November before we have to bust out the heavy outwear. I have found that Vests are the perfect transitional piece for everyone in our family; not to mention the kids actually like wearing them!
Vivi’s entire outfit is by Peas and Queues…a new line I found at The Little House in Fairway. I am obsessed, the quality and details are amazing. From the lining of the vest, to the double layer skirt (it’s green underneath) and bows on the leggings. It’s so nice to find a line that is unique and fun without being to frou-frou. (shoes by Mimi and Milo also from The Little House)
Julian is getting to the age where “cute” doesn’t cut it…he wants big boy clothes. We love the line Appaman who makes this great plaid flannel shirt; I am digging the patches on the elbows which give it some edge!… Continue Reading
Back to School time also means time to stock up on all the basics. New backpacks, new coats, and of course new shoes. While tennis shoes are great for everyday, they also get extremely dirty! We try to reserve the tennis shoes for school and play, and then each season we also try to get one tennis shoe alternative. Something that is still comfortable and cute, but also nice enough to wear out to dinner or church.
For the last few years we have been shopping for our shoes at The Little House in Fairway. I love that they carry unique brands that you can’t find everywhere else, and their shoe club is the best! Buy 5 pairs of shoes and you get 1 free! It’s really a no brainer. And, I always like to support a small, local businesses whenever I can!
Vivi of course went for sparkles; and for once, it is something that isn’t pink!… Continue Reading
I find there to be a lot of junky kids jewelry out there. The kind of stuff you know will break in a day! I fell in love with this line, Nest Pretty Things Kids when I was on Etsy one afternoon looking for a gift.
Her pieces are sweet, colorful and not too mature for a young girl.
My favorite pieces are her necklaces
They would make a great gift for that special little girl in your life!
Instagram is truly amazing; every single day I discover something new or interesting that I had never seen before!
Through Instagram I came across Progeny Shoppe. This Raleigh based store was born from a love for fashion-forward clothing and decor, combined with the desire to bring some of the most highly-coveted children’s brands to Raleigh.
I was instantly smitten when I went through their instagram feed. You can tell that each item is hand picked. It truly is perfectly curated and assorted with beautiful and unique pieces you can’t find everywhere else. I of course am drawn to the little girls stuff! Bows, Tassels and cuteness that is just beyond…
they also have kids room decor and a fantastic assortment of artwork!
Hey everyone! Hope you survived the weekend! I was happy to finally take down the Halloween decor, do a little fall cleaning, styled 2 clients this weekend and did some family photography!
Here are just a few things we are loving around here…
We got this Zara coat for the baby and it’s SO cute. I still can’t believe it was only $35. The quality is great, and I love the gold details.
My uber stylish friend had on the coolest workout pants from a line called Prism Sport. I am now obsessed! I am dying for these jacquard print capris
My babysitter had these cute pants on and I decided I needed them too! They are from Old Navy!!! $34, but I got them for $24 in store
So I am needing a pair of winter boots. Kansas City is more wet than snowy and not super cold. I like Hunter’s, but I do feel everyone has them.… Continue Reading
