This time of year is crazy. For everyone. There truly is a hustle and bustle about the holidays that just doesn’t seem to stop between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The shopping, decorating, baking, wrapping, cleaning, partying, and entertaining is on repeat. I love it though and I am always sad when the holidays come to an end.
Here are a few snippets of my house this time of year. I am not someone who overloads the holiday decor, I like to keep it simple…
And thank you to all of you who offered advice on instagram of what to put on this table. I bought a few apothecary jars and filled with ornaments but they were still too small in comparison to the windows/wreath. I used this great piece that was my husband’s grandmother’s and gave it a poinsettia (I think I need to find a fuller one though, don’t you think?)
The jars found a new home, and I love them here…
I got a real garland for my mantle this year.… Continue Reading
It’s late Sunday evening and I should be asleep…but I would much rather be watching the Real Housewives NJ reunion. Anyone have thoughts on Joe and Theresa? Their interview on WWHL with Andy Cohen was laughable. The conservative suits they both wore weren’t fooling anybody.
What an amazing, exciting and fun filled week we had!
Tuesday on my actual birthday I went to Port Fonda with my birthday twin and a few other couples. Those Roselle Margaritas are no joke! 1 is great, 2 is really FUN, 3 will put you over the edge 🙂
Wednesday I did a news segment on Fox promoting the Shop Pink and Save fundraising/shopping program that is happening at Legends Outlets Kansas City through the month of October.
I popped into Old Navy today to check out kids clothes. Of course I got stuck in the adult section and ended up trying on a bunch of their Activewear. I have to say, I was really impressed! I didn’t purchase today because they are having a sale this weekend; buy one get one half off!!! I am excited to scoop up these pants. They fit amazing!
and these compression leggings… (these run tiny, you may need to size up) They also come in a crop version
I love this running top
and for cool mornings, this terry pullover was SO comfy
I know, it’s all a bit Grey, but back to all the fun colored pants and tops these neutral pieces will be great! Do you love Old Navy activewear too? What are your favorites?
Can you believe it’s Sunday already? This past week and weekend flew by. We ran, ran, ran for 4 days straight and now I just want to pass out.
I crossed two things off my bucket list this week. First being the Circus! Can you believe I have never been?! It was so entertaining and it was like crack for the kids. There was so much to see and all of it is so fascinating. Although I was sweating bullets through most of the show because of all crazy stunts! Does anyone else find it terribly nerve wracking watching that kind of stuff?
He was so excited for the show! The seats were incredible…right up close to the action!
And the next day we got to have a VIP viewing of the big cat training. It was incredible. Those animals are just magnificent to watch.
Friday night we got to see Darius Rucker and Luke Bryan perform at the Sporting KC park.… Continue Reading
Is everyone out there surviving the heat?! I have been living in a uniform of workout shorts and tank tops; it’s the only thing cool enough to wear when running around with the kids. It’s not the most glamorous, but when you are dripping with sweat you don’t want to ruin a great outfit, right?
I am on the lookout for a new pair and right now there are some good sales!
Nordstrom has these Nike Dash shorts in their anniversary sale for only $20.97 (originally $32)
I have never tried the Lululemon shorts; but I am digging this orange color…
My favorite shorts are actually Under Armour…how cute is this yellow/grey print? These are also on sale $20.97 (originally $32)
