Here we are again! I can’t believe it is Sunday already. ugh….we are still in recovery mode around here. We got back yesterday and spent the day catching up with the kids, attending the Plaza art fair and tackled the dreaded unpacking.
Mexico was a blast. There is nothing like an adults only trip to rejuvenate the spirit, right? I had so much fun re-connecting with our Kansas City friends that we don’t get to see as often as we should. It’s hard to not enjoy yourself when you stay in an all-inclusive resort with a never ending supply of pool drinks, swim up bars and palm trees right?
One of the favors from the wedding were these cute shades…they were perfect since someone swiped this summer’s favorite sunglasses…thank goodness they were the $7 pair from H&M and not my good ones!

We are back from a whirlwind of a weekend in Chicago. I am exhausted. So much for resting…but when you only have 2 days with your best friends in one of the best cities in the US, sleeping isn’t a priority! We spent the weekend with our California friends who we met in Chicago 6 years ago when we all lived there. It was so fun being back in the city, visiting all the places we used to love as well as experiencing some new spots.
We started off the weekend with a late lunch at Jellyfish; a new sushi restaurant located in the Gold Coast right across from Gibson’s and Hugo’s frog bar. The space is small, but very hip. It sits up on the 2nd floor overlooking Rush street. The service and sushi was just ok, I don’t think I would go back. It didn’t take me long to order my first glass of “champs”.… Continue Reading
