Sugar Detox

So you may have seen on my insta stories me discussing giving up sugar for lent. By sugar I mean, desserts and sweets; they are by far my biggest weak spot. Going 40 days without any desserts was probably one of the hardest things I have done (when it comes to giving up something).  Maybe even harder than alcohol!

Tonight I made the Skinnytaste Chicken and Dumpling recipe from her 2nd cookbook. This was sent to me and referred to me by a friend (thanks Sarah!).… Continue Reading

I don’t weigh myself, but I can just tell I am not as trim as I am during the winter.

Since going Gluten and Dairy free (which, by the way has cured me of chronic migraines and stomach issues…) last year I feel like this summer was the best I have been in years. Our diet is pretty clean, but that doesn’t mean I am perfect!

In the Summer I indulge…I am a sucker for the occasional scoop of ice cream, grilling out burgers, more drinking than normal (which leads to late night bad food choices), and less working out (the kids home during the summer makes it really hard to workout…even when you own a gym).… Continue Reading
