One of my favorite brands at The Little House is Joah Love. It is super soft, casual play clothes that my kids live in. It is not fussy; they use great fabrics in simple but cute silhouettes
We got this outfit for our trip to Arizona, and accessorized it with the cutest beaded necklace with bird and tassel details. And it made for the perfect outfit to ring in her 5th Birthday!
In our household we love dresses for two reasons…1, there are no arguments when a dress is involved and 2. It’s “one” item of clothing, which means less wash for me and less coordinating of pieces.
The Little House has the best selection of dresses both casual and dressy. We recently discovered a line they carry called Lali which is from a designer based in St.Louis. She uses gorgeous fabrics from her native India, and they all have beautiful colors and patters with great details. You can read more of the designers history and inspiration HERE.
We paired this great dress back to the new “Alice in Wonderland” edition Mini Melissa shoes, also from The Little House
I love this take on a denim dress by Deux Par Deux; it has just the right amount of structure to make it cute and feminine. Again, it looks great with those red Mary Janes by Mini Melissa.… Continue Reading
“Bonheur Du Jour” means “Daytime Delight” in french. I can’t think of a better way to describe this gorgeous brand of children’s clothing.
The Little House just brought this french line into their store this season, and I am so excited about it! Just as you would expect with French fashion, the line has lovely details and is made beautifully. You will find the colors of your favorite french macarons accented with a touch of neon and metallics. I love the mix of gauzy cottons, tulle and lightweight chambray perfect for summer.
You can shop this line (which starts in baby sizes!) at The Little House. * Vivi’s shoes are by Saltwater Sandals from The Little House *

Outerwear for kids is tricky! You want to find something warm, comfortable and durable. I have tried everything from the super inexpensive Old Navy coats, to splurging on a Patagonia. And truthfully, the Patagonia coats are worth every single penny. The Little House has the CUTEST selection of Patagonia; and are one of the only retailer here in KC that actually carry the line.
The last few years I have gotten each of my kids the “Down Sweater” jacket. They are around $100-$125, but they are super lightweight and the warmest coat around. I love that they aren’t so bulky, especially when you are trying to strap your child in a car seat! If you size up a bit, you can get two seasons out of them too!
Their color selection this season is fantastic!!! Loving this aqua with Purple and Hot Pink trim

I don’t know a little girl that doesn’t LOVE a “twirly” dress. The more twirl factor the better! Unfortunately most of my daughters favorite dresses aren’t great for everyday; they are a special occasion dress that would not be practical for school or play.
Some childrenswear designers got very smart and have made fun, flouncy, twirling dresses that aren’t just for special events! They have combined a comfortable cotton top with a tulle skirt; the perfect combo of cute, comfort and wearability
We found the 3 cutest styles at The Little House in Fairway. This one by Toobydoo was our favorite! The tulle is super soft, and the top is a very comfortable striped knit. I love that she can wear this now while it is still warm, but we can layer with leggings and a denim jacket into fall.
This navy and grey version also by Toobydoo was just as adorable.… Continue Reading
