If you could bottle up “happiness” and turn it into a brand, you would get Hazel & Ollie. This is the newest and completely adorable endeavor by Emily Walters; who is also the talent behind the popular Bloom Academy.

Hazel & Ollie is custom made goods for children (and adults!) ranging from clothing, to accessories and home decor. I love Emily’s use of color, all of the little details she adds to each piece, and the fact that they are all handmade is a huge plus. Her pieces make great gifts, because they are one of a kind!
My little ones and I recently did a photo shoot for Hazel & Ollie and we had a BLAST.
Fitness is just as much a part of our children’s life as it is ours. Teaching them healthy habits early can only help them as they grow older! My little ones have been doing “kids yoga” for the past two years, and they absolutely love it. We host classes at Health House and many of the parents tell us how much the children love the class and the instructor Mimi Z. It’s amazing how she can tame a group of ten 4 year olds and have them all totally silent at the end, lying on their backs with a lavender pillow on their eyes, in complete relaxation!
We absolutely LOVE Mimi Z’s classes. So, we were so completely thrilled when we found out she was launching her own line of kids Yoga gear! Let me introduce JoBea Kids!
We absolutely love our JoBea pants…Vivi wants to wear them constantly!… Continue Reading
One thing you should always splurge on is great fitting denim. It makes a huge difference when you find a pair that fits you just right! I am so lucky to live in Kansas City, the home of Baldwin Denim. If you don’t know about Baldwin yet, you should. They have been cranking out premium denim for the past 6 years. My husband was a fan first, and then once I tried them on I understood the addiction. The quality, washes and fit are spot on.
I recently purchased these Andi in Houston Destroyed boyfriend jeans. I wasn’t sure if I needed another pair of distressed jeans, but I have been living in these. I love the wash, the over the top distressing, and the high rise. You can size up in them to make them slouchier. They do stretch a good amount, so I sized down one.… Continue Reading
I love when I meet someone who is so passionate about what they do; and Mike from Burgundy Circus Hardgoods is one of those guys. Mike set out to create high quality and durable hand-made goods. His specialty being everyday carry goods from tote bags to wallets and key fobs. His bags are unisex; which makes them cool enough for a girl to carry yet masculine enough for a guy to use as well.
I am a “handbag” girl, and I have invested in quite a few over the years. When I am running around during the week going from the gym, to volunteer at school, or the grocery store, I don’t necessarily want to carry my heavy designer bag. This is the perfect alternative; it is functional, lightweight and minimalist chic .
The canvas is high quality, the leather starts out crisp and clean, but will patina beautifully over time (like the leather on a Louis Vuitton bag), the inside has a key ring and probably my favorite detail is the front pocket.… Continue Reading
I am lucky to know and be surrounded by so many amazing and talented women! My friend Angie Curry happens to be one of them. She recently launched a line of beautiful, handmade bracelets (all while working AND raising triplets and another older daughter). She really is a super mom!
She has a wide range of bracelet styles to choose from. You can either buy them as is, or if you are like me you love the option to custom design your own! I went over to Angie’s house this week to check out all her goods and to “play” in her world of bracelet design.
Depending on what style of bracelet you want to go with; first step is picking the leather…
Then you can pick your clasp and any additional charms. My personal favorite is the snakeskin with gold magnetic clasp. Angie also measures your wrist to make sure that it fits just perfect!… Continue Reading
