My dad was doing work in South Dakota last week, so he drove a few hours south to see us for the weekend. My kids are obsessed and always love when he comes to visit. We packed a lot in, in just a short 48 hours with him!
Their Limoncello Sparkler is my favorite. They use a house made limoncello, mixed with prosecco and soda.
Saturday he took the kids tennis shoe shopping on the plaza; and of course they dragged him into Zoom for a toy. That is what Grandpa’s are for, right?
J got thinking putty…my kids are so obsessed with this stuff! It’s kind of like designer silly putty. This one was metallic gold sparkles.
fun at J.Crew 🙂 I just realized J. only has one shoe on!… Continue Reading
We had an insanely fun weekend, and it may take weeks to recover but it was worth it!
Friday night we had our school’s biggest fundraiser, which is an auction. This year the theme was “walk of fame”; red carpet/hollywood style. I wore a jumpsuit from H&M that I got last year, which was super comfortable and easy to wear. It’s no longer available, but I found a cute one on Asos with sleeves!
thank you to the team at Posh KC for the amazing hair and makeup! Chandler is the best!
So lucky to have SUCH an amazing group of families and friends within the school. This group knows how to have fun!
Saturday morning Health House hosted a Nike Women Style Guide Live at the Three Points Rooftop event space…
Nike doesn’t miss a a beat…we were welcomed with coffee and yogurt parfaits
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was another beautiful few days in Kansas City. I had fun photographing a few families this weekend; with the weather turning and the leaves changing it was the most gorgeous backdrop!
We had a very low key Friday. The kids were EXHAUSTED…so tired that this one fell asleep on the couch before dinner. Clutching a bowl of pretzels 🙂
Saturday morning a friend and I got into line early to attend the grand opening at the new Blue Mercury store. They were giving away sample bags to the first 100 customers. I can’t say the sample bags were worth the wait, but I was able to pick up a few things I wanted.
Unless you are living under a rock, you probably have seen that The Royals made it to the World Series. This city has major Royals fever, and the energy is amazing!
We went to the game on Friday and it was unlike any other sporting event I have ever been to. Definitely one for the books…
My brother lives in New York, so I am looking forward to some fun sibling rivalry next week!
Living on the Plaza makes shopping just a little bit too easy 🙂 We took the kids to lunch at Houstons and walked around the plaza. I popped into the new Blue Mercury store which is AMAZING! Since Halls left, we were missing all of the great cosmetics lines; and let me tell you Blue Mercruy has that and then some. Nars, Laura Mercier, Trish McEvoy, Bobbi Brown, Molton Brown, Fresh, Diptyque, Nest, and some of the best high-end skincare brands you can’t find anywhere else.… Continue Reading
This weekend we celebrated the wedding of our dear friends Cory and Maddi. Cory and Maddi have become great friends over the past few years; and our kids just adore them. Vivi has a huge crush on Cory, and was a bit devastated when she found out he was getting married. I think being asked to be a flower girl softened the blow…just a little bit 🙂
After a very rainy rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, the clouds parted and their wedding day could not have been more perfect! 75 and sunny, on the stunning grounds of Peeper Ranch. I do love a rustic, farm wedding. I wish I had taken more photos of all the wonderful details…they did an amazing job making it personal and beautiful.
