There was actually a chill in the air today, and it felt so good! I love nothing more than cozy sweaters in the fall!
There are some great sweater trends this season; fuzzy knits, criss cross or lace up details, cutouts, and the longer sweater jacket is making a comeback! Alysa Rene Boutique in Park Place has some beautiful sweaters to get you though the fall and winter months…
This blush fuzzy cardigan was my fave! simply layer it over a tank or tee and you are out the door.
Sweater, tank, AG Jeans, Dolce Vita Booties and necklace by Julie Zancanelli all from Alysa Rene Boutique. Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Sunglasses: Ray Ban 55MM black aviators (if the 58MM are too big for your face, they have a smaller size, which a lot of people don’t know about!)
Sometimes you just want a super casual sweater to wear out and about in place of a tee shirt.… Continue Reading
It’s freaking hot in Kansas City. We have had 90-95 degree days since the beginning of June. I have resorted to shorts and loose fitting tanks or this knit tank dress from J.Crew I love it so much I have it in 2 colors! TODAY it is 40% off, and make sure to size down, depending on how you want it to fit. I am wearing an XXS.

My panama hat has also been a life saver, since we have pretty much been living at the pool.

I was over Maxi dresses, until I saw this dress at Alysa Rene Boutique. It was such a statement, and I knew I had to try it on. I love the print, which is modern and bold yet not too crazy. It’s light and breezy, perfect for a hot summer day or night. And love it paired with this choker by local designer Julie Zancanelli.
I am excited to announce a partnership with one of my favorite local brands, Scoobie. Sarah Jabbour, owner and buyer for Scoobie brings the best affordable fashion to Kansas City (and online!) She finds a great mix of items for the college girl, on up to women 40 plus. You can find her shop in Trendz Market as well as The KC Garment District downtown, and at pop-ups all over the city. She also offers drop-off service; fashion at your doorstep! What could be better? You contact Sarah and let her know what you need or what you are looking for. She brings it by your house and you keep what you want and she will pick up the rest! It’s an amazing service!
A hard niche in clothing, is finding something that isn’t a tee shirt and that isn’t a going out top. I call it snappy casual; something you would wear to a lunch or school event.… Continue Reading
It’s amazing how far the apparel industry has come with faux leathers and fur. Nowadays it is hard to tell what’s fake and what is the real thing! With faux you are obviously not harming any animals which is a great thing. But another plus; faux leathers are a lot more affordable!
I had been looking for a heavier leather that I could wear in the colder months. I spotted this one at Alysa Rene Boutique, and when I saw the price it was a no brainer. $138, and it is faux but it looks so real! It’s thick and lined, and the collar definitely adds warmth around the neck. It has been a great coat for those days where you don’t need heavy, winter outerwear.
